Banshee came to live with me in December, 2006. Within the first few weeks, she had attached herself to me, becoming my new bed partner. I have a baby gate in front of my bedroom door to keep the 'boys' out, but Banshee would jump the gate, just to be near me. Her other new trick was to push open the back porch door to get into the house. Instead, she just got locked into the enclosed porch since there's a sliding door on the other side that she hasn't managed to open...yet. Banshee is also developing her taste buds. At first she wasn't too sure when I gave her a pig's ear for a snack. Now, she enjoys them. Raw potatoes are another treat she wasn't sure of, but my little highness recently stole half a potato from her playmate Obie. She and Obie have become best buds. They play tug-o-war and they switch off food dishes. She has become quite the house dog, but still defends the yard against the evil and demonic squirrels. |
