The greatest testament to a breeding program is its ability to continually produce females of outstanding quality. While our males are big, hairy and magnificent, it is the quality of the females that preserves our breed through the years. Latina is the first of what I hope will be many glorious bitches born into my hands. Truly a bitch of specials quality, she was exactly what I had hoped for from this breeding. While her brother Havoc! (MBIS BISS Aus. Gr. CH Aria’s Cry Havoc!) has gathered, and will continue to gather far more awards and recognition, it is Latina’s success in the ring, the field, and the whelping box that will determine the greatness of this litter.

Latina is a powerful yet feminine bitch, with the effortless, ground-covering stride of her sire. She has a substantial, muscular body with beautiful and balanced angles and a very flexible topline. Her coat will most likely never be long, but it is very dense and wonderfully textured. She finished in September, 2005 winning her second major at the Heart of Texas Borzoi Club trophy supported entry at the Fort Worth Kennel Club show and her third major at the Texas Kennel Club show the next day.

Latina will be specialed occasionally as her seasonal coat will allow. Regardless of how her show career may progress, motherhood will be her ultimate goal. Her playful and caring attitude toward our current puppies at La Vérité would indicate that she will master this challenge with the same grace and aplomb as all of the others.
