The Svora "Belmont Stakes" litter has always
been a favorite of mine. The two little bitches, GoGo and Ritzi,
kept catching my eye. When we had a chance to lease GoGo for the
"Grapes of Wrath" litter, I jumped at the chance. When Ritzi became
available from the Russos, I jumped at that chance as well. A proven producer and one of the fastest Borzoi on the coursing fields that I have ever seen, she is also quite a lovely animal. She combines stately elegance with an impish air of mischief. Always the lady, but not at all above getting her skirts dirty. She carries a huge coat and stunning color, matched by her structure and sidegait. Still new to the conformation rings at age five (she had two points when we acquired her), her first venture out with us was rewarded with a five point major WB/BOW at the 2006 Rocky Mountain Borzoi Club Fall Specialty under Borzoi breeder judge Nitsa Traylor. Our most sincere thanks to Jasper and Rhea Russo for allowing Ritzi to come to stay with us. While our plans for Ritzi do not currently extend past getting her DC just as quickly as possible, we think it is a very good bet that this elegant lady will once again be gracing the coursing fields (and possibly OFC) this fall. |
