Writes owner Deb Rogstad: River is our first Borzoi after close to two decades in Collies. We didn't intend to try a new breed, but some things happen for a reason. As we watched this litter grow up, we were always drawn to the girl with the black wings on her shoulders. There was never a reason to select away from her, so we let her pick us. So far, it looks as though she was right. Her name comes from the Russian River Valley, our favorite part of the California wine country. She need to mature some more before getting serious about the show ring and the coursing field.
