Aramis, Athos, and Porthos.  The names ring down from our fictional past along with the very real history of the Musketeers themselves.  Daring, driven, hard drinking, hard loving, and hard living young men flirting constantly with death in hopes of achieving everlasting glory in the service of their King.  Or, at least having a really good time. <g>

Having a litter with only three males and an acute literary sense gave me a perfect opportunity to utilize one of my favorite authors and his most famous set of characters.  The puppies will have to mature a bit more before we begin to assign names to them.  I’d dearly love to be able to identify character traits from the three fictional characters with the puppies that will bear their name.  However, about all the personality that they display thus far is Porthos’ love of food.

This is obviously a line breeding on my beloved Valimir.  While none of the boys are Valimir in style or markings, they should have many of his other attributes in abundance.  This breeding brings together my favorite Valimir son with my favorite Valimir daughter.  While the litter is small in number, my fervent hope is that it is rich in quality and style.  I do love what I see thus far.  Please join me in watching them grow.
